Library & Storytime Kids Activities Melbourne
We love to read! Check-out storytime at your local library or Bookstore.
Apart from the Educational side, they're a great way to catch up with friends, make new friends, listen to new stories and old favourites, sing songs and finish off with some colouring.
Carnegie Library is a modern, light filled library with a good kids area and the added attraction of an outdoors imaginative and not your run of the mill, kids play space.
Let's start outdoors (as the kids will spot it way before you do) kids play space. This soft landing play space has no slides, no swings, no monkey bars and not an inch of sand or tan bark in sight! This inventive play space will have their minds boggling as they climb and scramble all over the equipment.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of the City and inside to a quiet space of tranquility. Don't let the 'quiet' put you off as children are very welcome in the library and have their own dedicated play space. The fabulous "Play Pod" is where children can play, do crafts, dress up, read books and more. The Play Pod has a different theme each month based on a children's book.
It's a great spot to bunker down for a few hours on a cold, wet or windy day or get out of the heat and take refuge in air-conditioned comfort!
This event is perfect for five year olds, but open to all ages, and suitable for all children who love music, storytelling and the stories of Julia Donaldson.
Julia Donaldson, creator of The Gruffalo, is taking young readers on a musical and storytelling adventure – along with her many creations, from Zog to Princess Mirror-Belle (the badly behaved reflection of a well-behaved girl).
