Dandenong Ranges
Mmm, sweet, juicy and ripe for the picking - that would be the oodles of delicious and fresh cherries from CherryHill Orchards. Delight in the picking of cherries at the picturesque and rolling landscape of the orchards.
Pick your cherries then you pay by the kilo. Be careful you don't overpick as you'll pay the price.
These picturesque gardens (formerly the National Rhododendron Garden) play host to vibrant coloured blooms of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, cherries and daffodils. See them at their best when they're in season and full of life.
The gardens are also a picnic haven for families enjoying the sunshine and colours of this free national park. Picnic tables and chairs are dotted around or just throw down your picnic rug and enjoy the views.
Whether you see the Sanctuary after it's rained or if the sun has shined, they're a peaceful and restful sight to behold. The 'Forest of Love' is a must see place where Willliam Ricketts created his spiritual abode for all to enjoy. When you walk through the sanctuary, you get such a sense of connectedness with nature.
