Gippsland
You might have been to Wilson’s Promontory as a kid, and it’s likely you have great memories of those trips. But it’s possible that the magical feeling of The Prom has escaped you.
That magic is indefinable: it could be the beaches, so white and pure and squeaky. It might be the animals, as you’re sure to see heaps of kangaroos, wombats, emus and wallabies around here. Or it could be the bush, with its colours and invitations to walk through on the many tracks available.
Whatever it is, pack up for the weekend and head down to Wilson’s Prom for a fantastic family weekend.
little TIPS
- The Tidal River campground is the only accommodation in the Wilson’s Prom national park, and offers a variety of campsites, cabins and group accommodation. Ring first to book as it can get very busy.
- Don’t forget to visit the Information Centre and grab details of the many walks around The Prom – you haven’t experienced this area until you’ve headed out into the bush!
