Health & Fitness Kids Activities Melbourne
Get on your bike and explore Melbourne's numerous bike paths. On a sunny day head out for some fun with the whole family and keep fit while doing so!
Riding your own two wheels around town is one of the joys of being a city kid. And as Melbourne becomes more and more bike friendly, there's no better time for kids (or parents that are young at heart) to learn how to ride a bike, or to become better cyclists.
Here's a few suggestions:
- Yarra Trail - Runs along the Yarra river for 35km from Southbank in the City to Templestowe where it meets up with the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail
- Moonee Ponds Creek Trail - Runs approx 25km from Footscray Road at Docklands, following the Moonee Ponds creek under and around the Tullumarine Freeway.
- Maribyrnong River Trail - Follows the Maribyrnong River about 28km from the Melbourne CBD through to Brimbank Park.
- Bay Trail - Extends 69km along the coast-line of Port Phillip Bay to Altona Meadows in the west to Carrum in the east.
