Little Melbourne Reviews
If you're after splish-splash fun without the sand, sun and surf, hit GESAC for water play like no other. It's impressive, REALLY impressive and two hours later you'll still be lapping it up.
Pirate's Cove Leisure Pool is a safe oasis where you can explore the many interactive features. Mini slides, water fountains, water tipping, nets and more....just beware of the Pirate's water bucket that may or may not get you by surprise with a big almighty soaking!
It's got the feeling of being an adventure playground on land, only, it's in water. If your child is nervous of being in water they'll gradually build confidence probably without even knowing as it's all about play and the shallow entrance into the water makes for a warm welcome.
If you're feeling adventurous (like our thrill seeking five year old) you can seek out water slides in pitch darkness on a raft. There's two waterslides: Ship Wreck and Pirates Plunge. One is a raft slide for 2 people at a time (kid-tested by mentioned 5 year old!) and the other, a traditional body slide. Restrictions apply so check the website for more information.
When you're done and dusted there's a large family change room with showers, toilets and single change areas. There's also plenty of bench seats if you're sitting on the sidelines and not entering the water.
The Daily Kitchen will sort you out with good coffee and all your favourites from Charlie's, Emma and Tom's, Whole Foods (frooshies, sultanas, juice boxes, popcorn) and there's a selection of fresh sandwiches/panini's/muffins/salads etc made on site daily.
You'll find tables and seating on both sides of the entrance doors once you've made payment to enter GESAC.
