 Now that Summer is here, a trip to your local family farm is as easy as ABC.


The perfect excuse for City Kids to duck to a farm. Even though it is run as a tourist operation, it still gives valuable learning experiences and you might get to milk a cow!

Chesterfield Farm is an historical farm situated in the heart of Scoresby, now operating as a tourist/children's farm, open to the public 7 days a week. Our activities and animals always provide much enjoyment, and a real "hands-on" experience of farm life, along with many under-cover picnic areas, lots of "animal attractions", and friendly staff to make the day enjoyable.

Open 10am – 5pm, 7 Days a week


Cooper's Settlement is located in the largest park in the Northern suburbs, Bundoora Park - 15 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne. When you visit the Settlement you can experience a variety of activities that children will want to revisit and families will enjoy together. Plus there's pony rides and feeding and handling of the animals daily.

 A really great half day adventure, fresh air, grassy paddocks and only minutes from the city.

The Collingwood Children's Farm is a little slice of country life right in the heart of Melbourne, only 4 kilometres from the CBD.
It's a magical adventure for city kids to delight in farm life, hang out with the ducks, pat the goats, bottle feed the baby lambs and milk the cows.
Situated on 7 hectares of land just 4 kms from Melbourne’s CBD, the Collingwood Children’s Farm provides a unique, educational and fun country experience for city kids and their families.

There's lots of farm animals to meet and greet, from pigs, ducks, geese, horses and can even mingle with the goats in their paddock.

 Myuna Farm is a public community farm in the south-east area of Melbourne. It is an excellent example of farming life with lots to do for the whole family. The farm lets everyone of all ages and abilities, to experience hands on contact with a variety of animals. Alongside the Dandenong Creek, the farm offers a special environment of river gums, wetlands and bird life.

From education through to relaxation, Myuna Farm is preserving the agricultural history of Casey. All of Myuna Farm's attractions are presented in an educational and informative way.

 Scratch, feel, smell and hear all the experiences at Animal Land...all this and it's only 30km's from the City! Animals on the farm love it when children come to visit them. Meet all types of farm animals. From cows, sheep, goats,pigs, ducks, chooks, ponies, alpacas, donkeys, deer, turkeys, peacocks, cockatoos, rabbits, guinea pigs and more.

They're all here at the farm waiting for you and your friends to come and visit.
