Farms & Zoos Kids Activities Melbourne
The Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium is PERFECT Winter or rainy day fun. Arrive early and come and explore at your leisure the aquarium’s amazing array of marine life. Little ones will be mesmerised by all the animals and fish; older kids will love learning more about all the animals and water creatures.
Once you embark in the building, you go on a self-guided tour, following the signage. The walk through tunnel that features stingrays, sharks and various fish is one of those 'must see' OMG moments! Catch your favourite fishy friend at feedtime with a daily feeding or presentation (times will be on display at the aquarium).
The aquarium is set up on all different levels but if you have a pram in tow - no fear as paths are pram friendly and there's lifts to get you to various levels.
Just be wary the exit is out the gift shop but you'll be pleasantly surprised that's it's really quite affordable if by any chance you need to purchase a little bribe.
If you have a toddler and feel like visiting while the big kids are at school then you need the Midweek Special Parent and Child Ticket. Adult entry, child entry, a fishy feeding experience and a cup of coffee for $28.50.
Save money and pre-book your ticket online. Children aged 3 and under go FREE.
Need a lunch break? Stop by The Aquarium Cafe which overlooks The Yarra. The Café at Melbourne Aquarium has something for everyone! Whether you are after a hearty lunch, or just a snack or quick coffee, the Café will fill those little tummy's!
