City Sights Kids Activities Melbourne
Fitzroy Gardens is a lovely space to take a break from the Melbourne CBD. A special spot for a picnic, a walk, play and to catch up with friends and family.
Coffee, playground, shade? You'll find it all at Fitzroy Gardens. Nestled within the Fitzroy Gardens is one of the coolest little parks in Melbourne, Fitzroy Playground may be small but it's mighty in performance with its own dragon slide and cool giraffe double swing...there's a sandpit too. Combine it's quirkiness with the abundance of green lawn, open space, big jumping rocks, Captain Cooks Cottage, the fairy tree, Tudor Village and polish it off with a drink and tasty treat at the gardens cafe and you've got a fun-filled beautiful day out in Melbourne.
Mama can reward herself with a post-park cappuccino from nearby Pavilion Cafe. The cafe is surrounded by lush greenery where visitors can sit outside on the deck and delight in the cool breezes that filter through. They serve the normal cafe fare with some rather enticing cakes and slices! There's lots of room for prams here too.
Fitzroy Gardens has 2 hour metered parking or 4 hour metered parking (last visit $3.20 an hour)
