Beautiful beaches stretch for miles across the Morning Peninsula and one of our all-time family faves has to be McCrae beach, right in the heart of Rosebud. This is the quintessential beachy holiday spot – whether it’s a day trip, weekend away or summer holiday, McCrae beach has it all.
Renowned for being a kid-friendly spot; this picturesque setting gives our Qld beaches a run for their money with rolling sand-dunes, walking tracks galore, a soft, sandy (& patrolled) beach with calm crystal-clear blue waters that are ideal for swimming. Add gorgeous, colourful beach huts Victoria is famous for, nearby shops and cafes, plus a playground (look for the mini-lighthouse) it just may well become a favourite destination for you too!
If you ever find yourself in this beautiful part of the Mornington Peninsula then a stop-off to this sweet playground is a must! Surrounded by towering trees and with a scent of the nearby sea, it comes as no surprise that this playground has a bit of a nautical feel to it.
Grab a coffee to go from the Flinders Bakehouse Cafe opposite the park and head over to the park for a play. This lovely park features nature play elements with rock climbing poles, a little row boat, multi height monkey bars, sandpit, multiple slides, stepping stones, a cubby house and basketball court.
Skating At Festival is a pop-up Ice Skating Rink set up in iconic and picturesque locations around Australia. This family friendly event is ideal for people of all ages and skill levels.
