Little Melbourne Reviews
Everyday Mums, Dads, Kids and Families kid-test some of Melbourne's best, quirky, upbeat and favourite destinations with some product and book reviews thrown into the mix.
The PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport is the perfect choice for our interstate or international guest but it would also suit Victorians when you've got that dreaded early morning flight or want to experience the plane spotting package that's on offer.
They offer spacious modern family rooms with all the mod cons, internet, a swimming pool and workout room, kids meals in the restaurant and a business centre amongst many other little luxuries.
We'd only been there for 30 seconds when our children were handed a kids activity box and bottle of water. Now that's service!
One of our favourite Sunday adventures is to jump in the car and head to the Heide Museum.
Heide Museum of Modern Art (or Heide as everyone calls it) is a great discovery after very good friends put us onto it a while back and it doesn't disappoint! You don't have to go there for the art exhibits either. They've got a great iconic sculpture park where the kids can run free or scoot around the veggie patch.
Not only is this playground lots of fun, you could easily spend 3 or 4 hours here, as apart from the playground, there's a huge walking/running track, BBQ facilities, a lake with bird life and grounds to wander.
It's a great spot to spend a birthday too. We helped celebrate a close friends birthday here recently and the kids played happily for a good couple of hours and we picnic'd on rugs under the trees.
