Jam and Cream cafe melbourne

Decked out in pink paint with doilies, crochet rugs and an assortment of cushions, this is no ordinary caravan. Little Miss and Little Man thought it was great, and I was pretty chuffed too.

The menu is limited to about 20 types of sweet and savoury scones, cakes, pinwheel sandwiches, soup and a pie of the day. The coffee is hot and comes in large cups and the kids can choose from a pot of warm chocolate, pink lemonade, chocolate milk or strawberry milk.

Foxtrot Charlie

Although the café isn't huge, there is enough space to wheel a pram inside and sit at the large communal table, under the giant model aeroplane. This is the Little Man's favourite spot! There are regular tables in twos and fours at the front and another two or three tables out the back, which can be a bit quieter and away from the main part of the café.
