Staying In - Kids Activities at Home
Here's some crafts and activity ideas to help fill those days when you do stay home.
If you've got sick kids at home, the weather isn't on your side or sometimes when all you want to do is stay in....just enjoy hanging out with the crew at home and get busy!
We have discovered lately that it's really easy to dye homemade playdough with natural ingredients.
As well as creating some great playdough it’s also a lovely way to teach kids that some of the most beautiful dyes can be found in your own back yard.
You could use raspberries, blueberries (note: m-e-s-s-y!), tumeric, rose petals, mint leaves, lavender....whatever you like really.
Broken crayons? Don't throw them away, start the search and....make old crayons new again! They're a great size for little hands and they'll love the multi colour new look.
This project is SO, so easy to do and great fun for you and your kids. All you really need is a mini-muffin/cupcake tin pan (or other shaped tin pan).
We often ask our little one 'what shall we bake today' and the answer is always Cupcakes! I think it's because our daughter
- gets to lick the spoon
- gets to decorate them with all sorts of goodies (once it was mint leaves - don't ask!)
- gets to pretty them up with our fab selection of cupcake wrappers from The Cupcake Wrapper Company - they really do 'make' the cupcake!
- devour them.....quickly!
The Cupcake Wrapper Co is a new company started by two mums, Natalie Oliver & Kathy Jackson, from Melbourne Australia. Their cupcake wrappers are a fabulous new concept for decorating your cupcakes.
