City Sights Kids Activities Melbourne
The City is In, always IN!
The City comes up trumps time and time again with its Museums, aquarium, galleries, Southbank, Docklands, Fed Square, laneways and a playground (yes - a City playground)!
And when school comes to an end, the days warm up (or cool even), the city comes to life for Melbourne Kids. Lets not forget Christmas Celebrations - it's quite possibly the most magical time to enjoy the City.
We've rounded up highlights from the top venues for kids culture in Melbourne. Have fun getting out and about with the Family.
With the recent opening of Melbourne's latest shopping mecca, the Emporium Melbourne and the abundance of children's shops located within, it goes hand in hand that there be somewhere private to feed and change your baby.
Melbourne Emporium features a mix of local and international designers, innovative concept and flagship stores and world class architecture. If you're shopping for your baby/children you'll discover the likes of Jacardi Paris, Purebaby, OshKosh B'Gosh, Bobble Art, Crocs and Bardot Junior.
The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel began twirling at Docklands at the end of 2013. Not only has it fundamentally altered the skyline but, standing 135m tall in a fairly flat city, it is visible from many surprising parts of the city. A ride – or 'flight', as it is called here – in one of the wheel's 32 glass-enclosed eye pods holding up to 28 people draws visitors from Interstate, Overseas and Locals alike.
The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel will thrill the youngest to the eldest member of your family. It certainly wowed our family.
The Melbourne Star circles around slowly (approximately half an hour), offering a birds-eye perspective of Melbourne.
