Just off Chapel St in the heart of Sth. Yarra, is the Prahran Market. Purchase some fresh fruit and veg, have a coffee + lunch, purchase some cheese and bread and on certain days, the kids will revel in some activities.

Our favourite day to visit the market is on a Tuesday when the Peninsula Mobile Farm animals come out to play from 8.30am - 12.30pm. For only $5.00 entry into the pen you can spend as little or long a time as you like cuddling and frolicking with the animals. Apart from the farm animals there's free face painting (tues/thurs & sunday), coin operated rides and a little library - bring a book and swap it for another in the 'little library'. It's a fun way to spend a few hours.
