Museums and Galleries Kids Activities Melbourne
Melbourne is a fab place for art anywhere, from our top museums to the amazing range of galleries peppered throughout the city.
Whether you're looking for a fun, kid-created exhibit or if you're ready to introduce your preschooler to Picasso, you can find it in Melbourne.
This fabulous museum, located on the northern border of the Carlton Gardens behind the Royal Exhibition Building, is futuristic and interactive and connects architecture and nature – in the middle of the museum, you can walk through a forest! It's the perfect detination on a rainy day too.
The Children’s Gallery is designed for children 3 to 8 but we think it would delight even the younger toddler.
The Children's Gallery at the Melbourne Museum is aimed at 3-8 year olds and consists of three spaces:
- The Big Box Exhibition Gallery
- The Learning Environment
- The Tattersall's Children's Garden
