Parks & Playgrounds Kids Activities Melbourne
Crisp air, cool sunny days and The Great Outdoors.
Take a visit to Melbourne's beautiful park life and enjoy some local jems like the Family-friendly Botanic Gardens, Historic Como House, adventure playgrounds and more. These green spaces make the perfect place to stroll, ride bikes, scooter, throw a ball, picnic or just sit in the sunshine.
Locals know this as 'Rocket Park' as it's obvious when you land at this playground, it's all about the rocket ship!
If you're not 'blasting' off there's slides, swings, climbing frame, horsey merry-go-round, twirly bucket seats and a metal bike to keep the kiddos ammused.
The only down-side here is it's completely unshaded. Sad Face.
Surround yourself in nature's playground. These stunning gardens are unlike any other gardens you're likely to come across. From lush bushland right through to the Red deserts, there's views to take in from every direction. When you stroll the gardens, keep an eye out for native species (birds, bandicoots...) and an abundance of flowers and native plants and trees.
It really is a peaceful haven with wonderfully laid out paths and connecting gardens. Be sure to take in the glorious view from the cafe. With the grounds measuring 5.km's you'll be thankful of a seat, coffee and bite to eat!
Five, four, three, two, one...blast off into fun! This 9 metre rocket ship is definitely high on the fun factor here in this wide open space in Melbourne's West.
This playground caters for a wide range of ages and abilities and includes a dual flying fox, rock walls, water play area, rubberised play areas, swings and a sandpit. Flat paths means it's easy access for a pram, scooter, bike or wheelchair and there's plenty of tables and bench seats for a picnic, a covered BBQ area for a get together and there's a toilet block.
