What is it about South Melbourne and their great playgrounds! Skinners adventure playground, Lyell Iffla Reserve and now the upgrade of Eastern Reserve!
Eastern Reserves combines everything we love about a playground. It's fully fenced, there's a public toilet, a toddler area complete with baby swing, a grassy patch to kick a ball and shoot some hoops and there's some very cool playground equipment.
Royal Park has opened for play with a $5.5 million redevelopment by the City of Melbourne and the Victorian Government. The playground is next to the Royal Children's Hospital and is the last stage of the overall redevelopment...and it's all sorts of amazing!
There's something about an urban oasis that Melbourne has been screaming out for. With an emphasis on natural materials and good old imagination the design reflects the seven Wurundjeri seasons; honouring the traditional owners’ connection to this land.
Get set to climb, run, bike, scoot, scramble, swing and of course, sweat!
