Parks & Playgrounds Kids Activities Melbourne
Leafy Brighton East is home to a brand new playground and a playground with different kinds of challenges! Let's just say someone has thought out of the box and created more than your average play equipment. Let's start with the slides, two of them! To gain access to the slides you'll need to navigate a few obstacles to reach the top. A climbing rock wall, climbing frame and chain wall to pull yourself up, a firemans pole (you'll be happy to know their are some steps up to one of the slides), it's an interesting concept and will require kids to think and plan.
This playground has other colourful areas to enjoy too. Have a zoom on the flying fox, go to sea in the yellow row boat (we are Bayside afterall), swing on any one of the 3 swings (including a rope nest swing) and jump over the stepping stones after you've walked the little bridge. There's a small deck to sit on and a sandstone path runs through the middle of the playground - hello scooter action!
We see lots of picnics (and parties) happening here in the warmer months as it's fully shaded and there's plenty of benches and tables dotted around and a few of those are undercover.
